The best of life happens in the "in-between”. It may not be the most comfortable but it could be the best. The essence of life grows in between seasons, histories, and stories but it takes still moments of intention- ality to look, listen and learn from the liminal spaces of our lives. The Ecotone is an ethnographic art ex- hibition of stories, images, and poems hung between the doors and floors of the Boydell Building to hold space for the tensions between the pain, promise, and power of the people in North Tulsa. The pho- tographs, musically scored audio stories, and original poetry of this exhibition is also made to be a medi- tative tool for residential stillness in between the coming and going of life.
